Three colorful abstract sculptures with geometric shapes and patterns are displayed on a concrete floor against a weathered brick wall.

My MFA research explored the representation of shadow shapes as abstract and tactile forms but also as receptacles of memory and of absence.

This work explores the subtleties of colour in combination with the pattern and materiality found within the spaces created by shadows at the foot of a 1960’s tower block, (part of Oxford Brookes University).
