This research examines the exterior spaces of a 1960s Brutalist tower block, formerly The Lady Spencer-Churchill College of Education, now part of Oxford Brookes University, Wheatley, Oxfordshire. Using photography and drawing, I recorded shifting shadow forms beneath the building throughout the day, later translating them into cut and folded compositions that register time, change, and impermanence. The colour palette is drawn from mid-1960s references, anchoring the work to the building’s historical moment as it approaches demolition.
